Here are some effective ways:
1. Shampoos.
They are used to get rid of fleas, treat rashes and restore dog hair. They can also have a restorative anti-allergic effect, relieving itching and hair loss. Such preparations may be based on natural herbs and oils. Insecticidal shampoos contribute to the rapid and high-quality destruction of parasites. But they are toxic, capable of causing redness, increased salivation, vomiting, allergies in case of overdose. The product is applied to wet hair for 5-7 minutes, after which it is thoroughly washed off. It is advisable to supplement the procedure by combing the dog.

2. Drops.
It is considered the most effective tool in treating dogs for fleas. The composition of such drops requires the presence of selamectin, fipronil, permethrin. Usually, drops have a complex effect. A liquid substance is applied to the skin of the animal in the withers area, which prevents the drug from licking. Due to the penetration of the active substance into the skin and blood, insects are eliminated in a couple of doses. The effect of the drug lasts about 4 weeks. It must be remembered that the use of anti-flea drops is prohibited for puppies, pregnant and lactating animals.
3. Sprays.
The spray is sprayed throughout the animal’s hair and is an effective anti-flea remedy. But, it also has drawbacks: it may get into the eyes of the dog, licking the drug to the animals. Processing should be carried out in a well-ventilated area and in rubber gloves. And the animal, after applying the drug, must remain dry for two hours. Side effects can occur in malaise, allergic reactions, dermatitis, baldness, vomiting, nervousness and shortness of breath.
4. Collars.
They are the most common means for removing fleas in dogs. They rid of already parasitic insects, and serve as a means of prevention. Collars are used for about 4 months, after which they are replaced with a new one. The scaring away of blood-sucking parasites occurs due to the absorption of the active substance in the surface skin layers. Such a tool is quite convenient to use: the collar is fitted under the neck of the animal with an interval of one and a half centimeters, is worn on the dog, and all the excess is cut off. But, unfortunately, collars are highly toxic. They are contraindicated in puppies up to 6 months old, pregnant and lactating dogs with kidney and nervous diseases. Wearing collars can cause dermatitis and allergic reactions, vomiting, poisoning, and even shock.
